Trailers for Hire

Newmarket Trailers have a range of trailers available to hire in the Suffolk & Cambridgeshire area. All our trailers have been fully serviced and maintained by our experienced staff at our workshop.

We offer online booking* with competitive hire rates to suit your needs from 1 day hire to long term rental and our range is growing all the time! Therefore if you don't see the trailer you need please contact us to discuss further as other trailers can be arranged through the Ifor Williams Network.

First time hirers will need a valid UK driving licence, utility bill dated within the last 60 days and a credit/debit card in the same name as the driving licence.

We also offer trailer insurance for your hire to ensure that the trailer is correctly insured whilst in your custody and control.

Due to changes within our rental fleet, the images may vary from the trailer you receive on hire, however the specifications, dimensions, weights and style will remain the same.

We will need you to provide;

• 2 Forms of ID & Proof of address
• Insurance documents and a valid drivers licence
• Hire of trailers a refundable deposit of £250 (£500 for long term hires)
• A legal rear numberplate to in the style required for the trailer (We can supply number plates if required)

We will provide you;

• A serviced and road legal trailer
• Locks and security products that must be used while the trailer is in your custody and control.

For all weekend hires, trailers must be collected before 4pm on a Friday and returned by 9am Monday morning. Drop off and collection outside of these hours are prohibited, without prior arrangement.

​You are responsible for the trailer while it is hired to you and it is your responsibility to ensure that you are insured to tow during this time. Please see our Terms and Conditions on hiring from Newmarket Trailers.

Legal Requirements for Trailer Hire

It is the legal responsibility of the hirer to check they have the correct entitlement on their driving licence (must be a UK one) to ensure they are legal to tow the trailer they are hiring, if you are unsure please visit the Towing and the Law page on our website.

Information on Number Plates for when You Hire

It is the legal responsibility of the hirer to ensure there is a legal number plate on the trailer you are hiring that matches the towing vehicle. All our trailers have spring loaded clips to hold a standard oblong number plate in place. If you do not have a number plate and wish to purchase one, we can provide one for you on the day for the cost is £12 inc VAT. However, by law we are unable to provide one unless you bring your V5 registration document for your vehicle and a second form of ID such as UK driving licence or debit/credit card.

Anyone taking their hire trailer without a legal number plate do so at their own risk. Handwritten number plates are not classed as a legal number plate.

Campervans for hire

New to Newmarket Trailers is our range of fantastic Campervans including the practical but equally luxurious Volkswagen T6 and Volkswagen T6.1. Both Campers feature the very latest technology as well as comforts like air-conditioning, full cooking facilities, refrigeration and more - these Campers really are genuine 'Glampers'!

Both can easily sleep 4 people and are absolutely ideal for a long weekend with the kids, a relaxing couples retreat to the coast or maybe just escape on your own personal adventure and take in the beautiful landscape of the British Isles or even go beyond exploring into Europe!

We rent campervans by the day for as long as you need and loads of equipment is included in the hire cost including a full kitchen utility package, safety equipment and gas cylinder and we even sort out the insurance and breakdown services for you too.

Hiring a campervan is a great way to get out and about taking in incredible scenery as you tour from point to point. From stunning coastlines and amazing countryside to awesome mountains, a Campervan is a brilliant cost-effective way of being able to get more from your time away from home.
